Too many people end up regretting the tattoo they received. In most cases this is because they have not taken the time to reflect on the action they would ask. Here are some tips to help you choose your tattoo.

1. Determine why you want to get a tattoo.

2. If you want the tattoo represents you, think of things that you like or that make sense for you.

3. If your tattoo is in honor of someone else, think of things that person loves (loved) and have (had) a meaning for her.

4. Look at other tattoos, and do not let your imagination be limited to tattoo another person.

5. Look at the pictures found on stationery, books, posters, stickers and other drawings that you encounter.

6. If you find something similar to what you want, ask your artist to make the changes you want made.

7. Keep in mind that the image you choose will be a reflection of yourself.

8. Be creative. You do not have to draw your design yourself, but talk about your ideas for your tattoo.

9. Keep in mind how your tattoo may or may not affect your work.

10. Decide if you want your tattoo in black and white or color.

11. Take your time. Choose your tattoo is not something that happens on a whim.

Tips for your tattoo

1. Any design or image you find can be modified, or colors can be changed.

2. The tattooists are artists. If you cannot draw, they can do for you.

3. Your only limit is your imagination.
